I was finally able to try Sonny's Grille this past Saturday and it definitely won't be my last time! From the service to the food to the value, 5 stars across the board! I was meeting a friend for lunch and neither of us had been there before. We had the fried zucchini as an appetizer and it was delicious, especially with the house made ranch (and I don't even like ranch!). And there was enough leftover that we both filled up our to-go boxes! I had the crab cake sandwich with fresh cut fries, while my friend had the fish tacos with onion rings. My friend is a Maryland native who also spends the colder months in Florida and loved both seafood dishes, which I think speaks volumes. I agreed, but my expertise is limited, LOL! That being said, I love crab cakes and they serve the real deal with the lump crab meat. And I've yet to meet a fresh cut fry that I haven't loved! Add in fast, friendly service that is fairly priced and Sonny's is definitely a gem in the valley.
My wife and I were traveling through on a Sunday evening. The lady at our hotel recommended Sonny's Grille for a great restaurant. We are glad she did! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The meals were wonderful and reasonably priced. Our waitress was very friendly and made us feel very welcome! If you are in Belle Vernon, stop at Sonny's Grille! It is a true asset to the community!

The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is extremely clean and comfortable. My waitress was very attentive. The crab cakes are just amazing. The food is presented nicely and is delicious. The prices are very reasonable too.

Okay! I've been coming here very infrequently since 2004. I'm 67yrs old and have traveled all over this country. I'm an OTR truck driver. I've had crab cakes all over the east coast. Places famous for crab cakes, so I've never had them here because... how could they make crab cakes in Belle Vernon better than in Maryland? Tonight, I decided to try their Crab Cakes....OMG!!! They're are no better crab cakes anywhere!!!! AMAZING!
On a recent visit Rachel the bartender was exceptional at her job. Made us feel welcome. We tried something new and it was phenomenal. Always great seevice, atmosphere, a d food Highly recommend
Always a delight! Start off with the Bavarian pretzel!! So tasty and loaded with salt. I always try something new and am never disappointed. The tacos were delicious. A squirt of lime, the coleslaw ..all of it just amazing. Our server was sweet, on top of refills and had a smile the whole time we were there. Will absolutely return!!
